Progression to PRE-competitive or NON-competitive groups

Should places be available in our PRE-COMPETITIVE and NON-COMPETITIVE lane swimming sessions, the swimmer graduating from LTSP will be offered a place there, depending on which route is desired. If however, there are not any places available, the swimmer has the option of going on a waiting list. In Dolphin, we try to clear all waiting lists for the entry-level competitive and non-competitive squads into the club as swiftly as possible so the swimmer’s transition may continue with as little interruption as possible. Priority is generally given to swimmers seeking to join our competitive and non-competitive programs to those who have come through our internal LTSP system, although exceptions may apply in certain cases.

NON COMPETITIVE TRAINING

A core value at Dolphin SC is that we cater for all swimmers at all levels - it's not just about the fastest or the strongest. In many cases, when a swimmer graduates from our Learn to Swim Program, they may wish to continue to swim regularly in quality coach-led sessions but do not wish to progress to the competitive section of the club. Dolphin Non-competitive squad train one a week and focus on technical skills kick development, building their athlete ‘engine’.

This squad is perfect for those interested in developing and maintaining their swimming technique and fitness, but do not wish to commit the time as required by competitive squads.

The Non-competitive squad trains once per week, typically Sunday morning in Mayfield.
